1. Information We Collect

Account information: Name, email, hashed password, billing address.

Usage data: Features used, queries run, projects created, IP address (truncated for privacy).

Payment data: Handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.

Content you submit: Articles drafted, keywords researched, sites audited.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To deliver the Service and personalize your experience
• To process payments through Stripe
• To send transactional emails (receipts, security alerts)
• To send product updates and educational content (you can opt out anytime)
• To improve our AI models — using only aggregated, anonymized data

3. AI and Your Content

We do NOT train our models on your private content. AI outputs delivered to you (articles, meta descriptions, etc.) are yours. We retain anonymized prompts for safety filtering only.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with:

• Stripe — payment processing
• DataForSEO — keyword and SERP queries you initiate
• Anthropic / OpenAI — when you use AI tools (per their respective privacy policies)
• Cloud providers — AWS, MongoDB Atlas (encrypted at rest and in transit)

We never sell your data to advertisers.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and analytics cookies (PostHog) for product improvement. You can disable analytics cookies in your dashboard preferences.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws you have the right to:

• Access your data (export from dashboard)
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Object to processing
• Data portability

7. Data Retention

• Active account: Data kept as long as you maintain an account
• Deleted account: Permanently removed within 30 days, except billing records retained 7 years per US tax law

8. Security

• All data encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3)
• SOC 2 Type II audited
• Bug bounty program at security@outrank.so

9. International Transfers

We are based in Seattle, WA, USA. By using the Service, you consent to data being processed in the United States.

10. Children

The Service is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Changes

We will notify you of any material changes to this policy via email at least 30 days in advance.
